Day 3

Sunday was really a challenge- SO much traveling. As said the wake up call was about 4am (and by call I mean there is actually a guy who blows into a shell and lets you know they boat has arrived). We departed from the island at around 5- this time on a bigger row boat with a motor- but this one also went a lot slower and took us about 1 hr and 1/2 to get back to the mainland. Unfortunately, that was the easy part of the trip. After that we had a 5 hour bus ride to a major bus station, followed by two other local buses to get back to Joaquin's house. In total travel time =7 hrs. Additionally I was on about 6 hours of sleep (total since Friday), so it wasn't the most fun situation. When we got back we had little time to rest before going to visit the school where would be teaching. To get there...yup, more buses :( This time only two, but the driver was sooo slow and it took us an hour and 1/2, whereas Joaquin said it should have been like 35 min. We met the Director (her name is Perfecta, love it haha) It has been really hard for me to understand the spanish so far, but I'm trying and we are going to have lessons, so I hope to start improving. When we came home we went to "Taco Loco" again for dinner and then BED because we had had to leave the house for school at 8am.
